 | Is EduCare a franchise? |
 | No, EduCare is a privately owned for-profit corporation based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. |

 | Are your teachers certified? |
 | All teachers who work at with any EduCare program must be certified teachers with licensure approved by the Iowa Department of Education. |

 | Do you require background checks for all of your staff? |
 | Yes, all EduCare staff must pass a rigorous background check prior to employment with EduCare. |

 | Do you require an assessment if I would like to enroll my child in the learning center for remedial basic-skills work? |
 | No, EduCare does not require a diagnostic assessment prior to enrollment in a learning center program. Diagnostic assessment is available for those parents who request a standardized assessment of basic skills in reading, written expression, and/or math. Assessments are scheduled on an arranged basis with the center director. |

 | When I enroll my child, do you contact the school and visit with my child’s teacher? |
 | EduCare will contact each student’s teacher(s) at school if parents sign a consent for release of information at registration. |

 | Do I have to sign a contract to enroll my child for an EduCare program? |
 | No, EduCare does not require parents to sign contracts or commit to a “minimum” number of lessons. |

 | What is the EduCare guarantee? |
 | EduCare guarantees the equivalent of one full grade level of academic growth after 40 one-hour lessons in the areas of reading comprehension, and/or math computation. Pre- and post-assessments must be conducted at EduCare for the guarantee to be in effect. |

 | What is the student-teacher ratio at EduCare? |
 | EduCare teachers work with no more than three students at one time. Student groupings are based on grade level whenever possible. |

 | What kind of progress reports can I expect? |
 | EduCare teachers meet briefly with parents at the end of each to lesson to provide parents with a first-hand report on the rate and degree of student progress. Parents may request a more thorough report from the center director at any time. |

 | May we visit the center prior to making a decision about enrollment? |
 | Yes, parents/guardians are always welcome to visit the center. Visits may be arranged by contacting the center director. |
