Contract Services

Does EduCare supply the teachers and support staff for its contracted services programs?
EduCare supplies the teachers and support staff for the Special Education BD/At-risk program, Supplemental Educational Services and Student Success Study Skills programs. EduCare will also provide the teacher for the Response to Intervention program or provide training to district, school, or institution’s own employee.
Does EduCare supply all the instructional materials for each of the contracted services programs?
Yes, EduCare supplies all of the instructional materials for each of its contracted services programs including the K-12 set of materials necessary to support the Special Education BD/At-risk program.
Is KewUp! Software™ required as a component of any contracted services program?
Yes, KewUp! Software™ is a required component of EduCare contracted services programs. The initial license fee for the software is included in the cost of the program. In most cases KewUp! Software is installed on the district or institution server.
How do the EduCare Special Education BD/At-risk and Response to Intervention programs compare to similar services we could get from our Area Education Agency?
All EduCare contracted services serve as an alternative to AEA supported programs. Decision makers at schools, districts and institutions are strongly encouraged to make a careful “side-by-side” comparison of specific program features to determine which provider may be the best fit for them.
Is it possible to visit a site currently using EduCare contracted services programs?
Yes. On-site visits to schools currently using EduCare Contracted Services programs are welcomed. All on-site visits are subject to coordination and approval with the building administrator of the on-site program to be visited.
What is the level of support that I can expect from EduCare if we decide to actively promote Supplemental Educational Services under NCLB at my school in the future?
Many schools are unfamiliar with the processes, time lines, and procedures associated with offering Supplemental Educational Services. Excluding the initial notification letter to parents, EduCare offers extensive support and assistance, upon request, regarding procedural details to any school, district, or institution considering actively promoting Supplemental Educational Services. There is no additional fee for support and assistance offered by EduCare.
What sort of training is involved with KewUp! Software™ if we choose to purchase the Response to Intervention program but have our own staff teach it rather than EduCare staff?
EduCare provides a full day of training for teachers from schools, districts, and institutions who are going to teach the Response to Intervention program on their own. The schedule is usually 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. with a half-hour lunch break. Training is available on site or at the Cedar Rapids, Iowa EduCare center and provided as part of the fee for the service.
Who owns the instructional materials if we purchase the Response to Intervention program and intend to use it for reading and/or math remediation?
If the school, district, or institution chooses to opt for EduCare employees as the teachers, EduCare retains ownership of the materials. If the school, district, or institution chooses to have its own teachers teach the Response to Intervention program, then the materials are owned by the school, district, or institution. Fees for the various options are adjusted relative to the option chosen.
Does EduCare carry its own liability insurance for all of its contracted services programs?
Yes, EduCare carries $1,000,000 of liability insurance for each of its contracted services programs. In addition, EduCare will provide for the school, district, or institution to be listed, if requested, as an “also insured” on the company’s liability policy.  Certificates of insurance are available upon request.
If EduCare teachers provide the instruction for a contracted service program that we purchase, what kind of background checks can we assume have been made?
EduCare requires a thorough background check for any teacher or associate hired by the company. Copies of background check paperwork are available upon request.
